The Mechanics

Priority credit repair when there is a real date on the calendar

Start with the honest part. The bureau clock is statutory. Once a dispute is filed, the bureau has 30 days to complete its reinvestigation, extendable to 45 if additional information is supplied during that window, and nobody can shorten it. Any company selling you speed on that clock is selling something that does not exist.

What can be moved is everything on our side of the line, and on a deadline file that turns out to be most of the elapsed time. How fast the reports get read and the strategy set. How fast documentation gets collected and identity verification cleared. Whether round one goes out this week or in three. Whether responses get read the day they land or at the end of the month. Whether the second round is ready to file the moment the first window closes. On a normal file that slack is invisible. On a file with a closing date it is the entire difference.

The other half of this level is triage. With limited cycles you cannot work everything, so you work what matters to the specific decision coming. If it is a mortgage, the middle of your three scores is what typically governs, so the bureau report dragging that middle score is the priority and the strongest report can wait. If it is auto, many lenders pull industry-specific FICO Auto Score versions and price in bands, so a few points can change the rate rather than the answer. We also tell you what a deadline cannot buy: if the file needs six months, we will say so while you still have time to plan around it.

We prioritize every step we control. We do not pretend to control the FCRA investigation clock, because nobody does.

Fit

Who this is for, and who should pick something else

Score Pros qualifies hard on purpose. Being sent to the right service beats being sold this one.

Best for

People working against a specific deadline: a mortgage application, an auto purchase, a lease approval, or a financing window that is not moving.

  • Are preparing for a mortgage, refinance, or major application with a date attached
  • Need bureau responses turned into decisions quickly
  • Want a named contact rather than a support inbox
  • Have a real deadline driving the work, not a general wish to improve

Not for you if

  • There is no actual deadline

Without a date, priority handling is paying for urgency you do not need. Managed Credit Support runs the same correction work on a normal schedule.

  • The date is far enough out to plan properly

Six to twelve months of runway is a planning problem, not a speed problem. Strategic Credit Planning sequences correction, timing, and positioning across the whole window.

  • You want to understand every mechanic as it happens

Deadline work moves fast and explanation takes time. Guided Credit Strategy is built around teaching the reasoning as the corrections run.

The Process

How it runs, step by step

What happens at each stage, and what lands in your hands. Bureau investigation windows are set by the FCRA, not by us, and no outcome or timeline is guaranteed.

  1. Free Credit Clarity Session, scheduled fast

Tell us the date on the intake form and we treat the call as time-sensitive. Thirty to 45 minutes with all three reports open, plus the specific application: what it is, when it is, and what the lender has already told you. If your loan officer has given you a score band or a condition to clear, bring it.

    What you see

A live 3-bureau review, a written summary, and a first honest read on whether the date is realistic.

  2. Triage against the date

We rank items by what they are likely to be worth to this specific decision and how much time each one needs, then cut the list to what actually fits in the window. Some items get worked now, some get deliberately parked, and you will know which is which and why.

    What you see

A ranked item list with a working window on each, and a plain statement of what is being left for later.

  3. Round one out immediately

Documentation collection, identity verification, and round one drafting all run in parallel rather than in sequence, because on a deadline file the days between steps are the ones you cannot get back. You approve the round plan, then it goes.

    What you see

The round plan the same week, copies of everything sent, and the date each investigation window opened.

  4. Responses read the week they land

A dedicated contact owns your file, so results do not sit in a queue waiting for a monthly review cycle. Every response gets read, forwarded, and turned into a decision about the next round while there is still runway to use it.

    What you see

Every bureau response forwarded quickly, with a written read and the immediate next move.

  5. Round two staged in advance

The next round is drafted before the first window closes, so if an item comes back verified with new information to work from, the follow-up is ready rather than starting from scratch. This is the single largest source of lost time on a deadline file.

    What you see

A pre-staged next round, filed as soon as it can legitimately be filed.

  6. Pre-application check

Before you apply we confirm what actually landed and what did not, and give you a straight recommendation: go now, or wait one more cycle. If your lender offers a rapid rescore, that is a lender-initiated process requiring documentation of a real change, and we prepare what makes it usable. It is a tool, and it does not promise movement.

    What you see

A readiness review before the application, and an honest go or wait recommendation.

What Changes

What changes for you

Not a score prediction. These are the things the work is designed to put in your hands. Results vary by file, and no outcome or timeline is guaranteed.

No days get wasted on our side

The parts we control move immediately. On a file with a closing date, that slack is usually where the whole timeline was lost.

You work the item that matters to this decision

Not the longest list. The shortest list that could change the outcome you are actually chasing.

You get a real answer on timing

Including when the answer is that the date is not realistic, which is worth far more to you than optimism you cannot bank.

You go into the application prepared

With documented changes, a known position, and no surprises when the underwriter pulls the file.

Common Questions

Questions about priority credit repair

The ones people actually ask on the first call, with the answers we actually give.

Can you get items removed faster than the 30 day window?

No. The FCRA gives the bureau 30 days to complete a reinvestigation, extendable to 45 if additional information is supplied during the window, and nothing we do changes that. What priority buys you is speed on everything outside that clock: intake, documentation, drafting, filing, reading responses, and staging the next round. On most deadline files that is where the lost time actually was.

My closing is in three weeks. Is it too late?

Possibly, and we will tell you on the first call rather than take the file and hope. Three weeks is shorter than a single investigation window. Sometimes the useful work in that period is not disputes at all, it is utilization timing, paying the right balances before statement dates, and not opening anything new. That advice is free on the clarity session.

Can you promise I will hit my target before the deadline?

No. We do not guarantee outcomes, score movement, or timelines, and it would be a CROA violation to do so. We commit to effort and sequence on the parts we control, and honesty about the parts we do not.

What is a rapid rescore and can you do one?

It is lender-initiated. A mortgage lender submits documentation of a real, completed change to the bureaus and asks for the file to be updated ahead of the normal cycle. Consumers cannot order one and credit repair companies cannot perform one. What we do is produce the documentation that makes it possible for your loan officer to use.

Do I get a real person or a ticket system?

A named contact who knows the deadline on your file. That matters most when a bureau response arrives and the next move needs deciding within days, not at the next monthly review.

Should I pay off my cards right before applying?

Often yes, but timing beats amount. Your score reads the balance reported on the statement date, so paying a card down after the statement cuts does nothing until the next cycle reports. On a deadline file we work out which accounts to pay, in what order, and by which date, so the reported numbers are the low ones when the lender pulls.

How much does priority cost compared to the other levels?

It carries a first-work fee and a flat monthly fee like every level, and it is discussed on your call once we have seen the file and the timeline. It is still month to month, there is still no long-term contract, and you can still cancel anytime. See how pricing works.

What if the deadline moves?

Then the plan moves with it. If the date gets pushed out far enough, we will usually recommend stepping down to a standard level rather than keeping you on priority handling you no longer need.
